Provider Bio

Originally from Washington D.C., I have established my roots in Ohio, where I proudly serve as the Owner and Founder of Circle of Life Child Enrichment Center. I completed 4 years at the University of the District of Columbia and obtained a Child Development Associate Credential. I am a wife and mother.

Under my leadership, our esteemed Family Child Care program delivers exemplary educational and caregiving services to children ranging from 6 weeks to 12 years old.

My robust career spanning approximately 30 years in early education and childcare, began with a voluntary position at the Office of the State Superintendent of Education in Washington D.C. During this tenure, my responsibilities encompassed conducting state visits alongside specialists to ensure program compliance with regulatory standards.

My engagement in the sector extended further as I held a position on the Board of Directors at the FERC Child Development Center, a nonprofit organization, for five years. In this role, I was instrumental in evaluating and approving subsidy applications from families seeking financial assistance to access high-quality childcare services for their children.

My diverse experience in childcare encompasses roles at every level within center operations. I embarked on my career as a floater at Bright Horizons in 1994, progressively advancing through various positions. My tenure with HeadStart stands out as a significant highlight, where I assumed the role of Center Director. This position entailed overseeing the launch of a new program and managing the closure of another, showcasing my adaptability and leadership in navigating complex situations within the childcare domain.

All of my experiences both personal and professional have shaped my passion for supporting the early education field, children and families.
